SUPERIOR TUBULAR SERVICES, LLC is a new manufacturer and recycler of OCTG products used in the oil and gas industry. With over a quarter of a century experience in the manufacturing and recycling of protectors, packaging systems worldwide, STS was formed to manufacture a quality product while at the same time providing customers with economical and environmentally conscious alternatives when buying tubular protection products. STS incorporates environmental considerations into every aspect of our operation, from purchasing recycled products to mold designs that increase the life cycles of our products.
STS designs and manufactures products with three major goals:
- Require less energy use during the manufacturing process
- Use recycled materials whenever possible throughout manufacturing process
- Provide the option to reuse products many times to our customers
In fact, when purchasing a used certified protector from STS instead of a new protector, customers are saving over 40% in cost while at the same time minimizing our environmental impact when compared to purchasing new.
When reusing a protector, only the manufacturer is capable of inspecting used protectors correctly. STS is the only company that manufactures, cleans and inspects protectors for reuse. The number one priority for STS is to always provide the highest quality products both new and recycled, for our customers. With this in mind used products are collected and returned to one of our cleaning facility or to an STS approved, licensed company. Using our environmentally friendly machines, the protectors are carefully cleaned and inspected in a closed loop, non-hazardous process allowing protectors to be reused many times. Over 97% of protectors we clean and inspect pass and are reused, and the 3% rejected are re-ground and used for new products.
